Documentary-style interviews with multiple cameras were woven together with clips from dozens of show episodes. Hundreds of hours of material were digitized and screened to create this overview of original series for USA’s Upfront presentation to advertisers.
“Creating a piece like this combines the disciplines of documentary filmmaking with the aesthetics of trailer editing. We decided early on not to use voice-over narration so we would have to rely on the actors to tell their own story. Everything was transcribed making it possible to piece together paper cuts outside of the edit room,” says ANATOMY creative director Mark Valentine.
